What makes us who we become?
Exploring that question led me to create the NvsN System—a way to understand who we are, what shapes us and how we continue to grow.
I created I Am One because children should not have to wait until adulthood to understand themselves, others and the world around them. It brings together my experience in peer support and early education, my children’s stories and the ideas at the heart of the NvsN System.
Understanding ourselves, appreciating our differences and recognizing our shared humanity should be part of growing up and finding ourselves.
Together, we belong.

The NvsN System explores Nature—who we naturally are, Nurture—the relationships, experiences and environments that shape us and the Murky Middle—where the two come together as we learn, choose and grow.
It gives children simple language for understanding their whole selves, exploring their feelings, needs and values, and discovering how they relate to others and where they belong.
Through stories, play and everyday conversations, these ideas become life lessons children and grown-ups can explore together.
